Discounts are great inducements for customers to try a new product, or service. It also creates a secondary referral effect, if that customer tells a friend or associate about the product, that hasn’t previously visited your business!
Piggy Back the new product to an existing one, as a free add on
We see this strategy all the time in the restaurant vertical, and that’s because it works! Buy this, and get that for free. ‘That’ being the new product being rolled out. You can apply this same strategy in almost any business. ‘Buy 2 of this, and get that (Our new product we know you will love)’
The bottom line in any new product/service promo is to be creative in customer engagement. If you sound like every other deal, you are just that, just another deal.
